About Us

The golf course was originaly designed by Mr Henry Fowler in 1892 out of the rolling contours of the land, part of which were formerly lime workings and has unsurpassed views over the Vale of Taunton and the countryside beyond. It is a course of traditional design and though not a long course, it is still a very good test of golf. In recent years, the condition of the course has improved markedly and we like to think that our greens are as good as you will find anywhere in Somerset.
