PGA Fellow Professional and Director of Golf, Simon Stevenson, and his team provide the PGA services at Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club. Below are details of the PGA Professional services we offer, as well as information on lessons and quick introduction to our team. Golf Lessons PGA Professional tuition at Taunton & Pickeridge is provided by Club Professional Simon who has over 17 years coaching experience, and is available through booking in the Pro Shop. All abilities are catered for, from beginners right up to established low handicappers. At T&P we have the facilities to work on all elements of your game, including a covered teaching bay to allow coaching in all conditions and a great short game area. Video analysis using the latest GASP computer software is available, as well as access to the latest techniques and training aids from golf's leading instructors. The Golf ShopA wide variety of golfing goods are available in the shop at very competitive prices. We stock brands such as Ping, Titleist, Taylormade, MD Golf, FootJoy, Oscar Jacobson, Motocaddy, Masters, Sky Caddie, Nikon laser rangefinders and Sun Mountain. We also hire out the essentials such as pull trolleys, electric trolleys and golf clubs. Ping Fitting Account We are Taunton's only official Ping Fitting Account, and one of the largest in Somerset, so you won't find a better place to come and try and the latest equipment from Ping. We encourage all our customers to be custom fit for their golf clubs, a service we offer at no extra charge. Titleist Fitting Centre Here at T&P we also have the latest Titleist SureFit Tour fitting cart, which allows us to build all types of custom clubs for golfers to try. A selection of shafts and heads are available in the 910 drivers, fairways and hybrids, as well as the NEW 712 iron series. TaylorMade SelectFit System If you are looking to try the latest irons and woods from TaylorMade then our SelectFit system gives multiple head and shaft options in the full range of irons. We also have the NEW RocketBallz and R11s range of clubs to try. Get fitted and see how we can add yards to your game! Repairs Workshop Our comprehensive workshop can provide all types of services to our members and visitors, from re-gripping and re-shafting clubs, to checking and altering lofts and lies. Even simple services such as shoe re-spiking are available, To discuss a repair, simply bring your clubs in anytime and we'll happily talk you through the various options.  Meet The TeamSimon Stevenson - PGA Fellow Professional & Director of Golf Simon was appointed PGA Professional at Taunton & Pickeridge in August 2004. He has been a PGA Professional since 1994 and previously worked at Turnberry, Gleneagles and Cardrona. During his time at Turnberry and Gleneagles Simon added to his experience with secondments to Riffa Golf Club inBahrain and Troon North Golf Clubin Scottsdale. Simon is a PGA Level 3 Coach, PGA Tutor in CoachEducation, Head Coach of the Richard Huish Golf Academy, PGA Rules Referee, recentlyachieved the PGA Director of Golf qualificationand has been recognisedby the PGAfor his ongoing professional development by being awarded Fellow of the PGA status. Simon coaches all abilities from beginners toprofessionalsbut has a straight forwardapproach tocoachinggolf. He targets alltuition towards the pupil\'s level of understanding and also the time they can dedicate to their golf. All tuition is geared towards that individual and coupledwith swing and practice drillsmeans pupil\'s have more fun, are encouraged to play / practice moreand improvetheir ability to score. To e-mail Simon Stevenson click here Tim Hooper - Professional Shop Assistant Tim has been a member of Taunton & Pickeridge Golf club since January 2002. He joined the Professional Shop Team in 2007. Tim has an Industrial Sales & Management background and has also worked in the golf sector. He was Territory Manager for Murray Golf in 2007 and worked for Acushnet Europe as their South of England Representative on the Cobra Demo Tour in 2008. In a playing history spanning forty years he has amassed a wealth of golf experience; and been fortunate enough to have achieved two Holes-in-One, the second of which was on a 298 yard Par-Four ! To e-mail Tim Hooper click here Chris Wyatt - PGA Trainee Professional Chris recently joined the Pro Shop team at Taunton and Pickeridge in Dec 2011. He is local to Taunton and has been a member at the club for many years. He is really looking forward to starting his PGA training under Simon in 2012. Chris has lots of experience in coaching as he has joined the team from Castle Sports Centre where he was an instructor for various fitness classes. Whilst a junior Chris represented the county teams through all age groups and was lucky enough to be the u16's vice captain. |

Course Status:
The course is open over 18 holes on main greens. All types of trolleys and ride on buggies are permitted. No tee reservations today. The Mid-Week TUAP stableford is a yellow tee qualifier.
